Pacific Northwest law firm Miller Nash Graham & Dunn LLP welcomes six talented associates to the firm. In the Portland office, Renee Ambacher joins the construction team, Katelyn Fulton joins the environmental and litigation teams, Nathaniel Levy joins the real estate and land use team, and Nicoleas Mayne joins the business and corporate team. In the Seattle office, Nicholas Valera and Vanessa Williams-Hall join the firm’s litigation team.

Renee Ambacher
Ambacher, based in Portland, joins the construction team. She recently earned her law degree at the University of Washington School of Law, where she was UW Law Representative for the Washington State Minority and Justice Commission. During law school, she served as a student defense attorney at the Tribal Law Public Defense Clinic, where she is now an admitted member of the Tulalip Bar on the Tulalip Reservation. Before attending law school, Ambacher was a Political Fellow with the Washington Bus and worked as a field organizer. Ambacher also spent time studying in Spain and interning with the office of Senator Maria Cantwell in Washington, D.C.
Katelyn Fulton
Fulton, based in Portland, joins the firm’s environmental and litigation team. She recently earned her law degree from the University of Washington School of Law. While attending law school, she served as a student attorney at the University of Washington’s Regulatory Environmental Law and Policy Clinic. Fulton served as an intern for a nonprofit organization in Portland, where she specialized in energy law. She was also an intern at the United States Department of Justice Environment and Natural Resources Division in Washington, D.C.
Nathaniel Levy
Levy, based in Portland, joins the firm’s real estate and land use team. He was the class valedictorian at Willamette University College of Law, where he recently earned his law degree, summa cum laude. While attending law school, Levy served as an executive editor for the Willamette Law Review, and earned the “Second Year Editor of the Year” award. Prior to law school, he spent three years as a legal assistant in the civil litigation section of a midsize law firm in Salem. Levy began his career at Miller Nash Graham & Dunn in 2017 as a summer associate and clerked at the firm during his third year.
Nicoleas Mayne
Mayne, based in Portland, joins the firm’s business and corporate team. He recently earned his law degree at Harvard Law School, where he was subcite editor for the Harvard Business Law Review, and submissions chair for the Harvard Journal of Sports and Entertainment Law. During law school, Mayne was an active member of the Harvard Law Entrepreneurship Project where he counseled start-ups on entity formation, intellectual property protection, and advertising. While in law school, he also worked for a boutique National Hockey League (NHL) player agency, as well as for the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes through Harvard’s Sports Law Clinic. Mayne is also a trained mediator, volunteering in local courts during his time at the Harvard Mediation Program.
Nicholas Valera
Valera, based in Seattle, joins the firm’s litigation team. He recently earned his law degree from the University of Washington School of Law, where he was the articles editor of the Washington Law Review. Valera began his career at Miller Nash Graham & Dunn as a summer clerk, working on projects that involved environmental law, commercial litigation, and mediation. Before law school, Nick served in the United States Peace Corps in Cameroon as an agroforestry extension agent. While still in Cameroon, Nick also worked with a human rights nonprofit. He then returned to the U.S., serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA at a Somali community services organization. Afterwards, Nick continued working in other local nonprofits.
Vanessa Williams-Hall
Williams-Hall, based in Seattle, joins the firm’s litigation team. She recently graduated from the University of Washington School of Law, with honors, where she was editor-in-chief of the Washington International Law Journal, and a member of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Team. While in law school, Williams-Hall was a student attorney with University of Washington’s Tulalip Tribal Court Clinic and volunteered as a legal advocate with the University of Washington’s Immigrant Families Advocacy Project. Additionally, Williams-Hall served as a legal extern for the Honorable John C. Coughenour of the U.S. District Court of Western Washington.
