About Josh Piper
Piper’s practice focuses on advising local, national and international businesses in a broad range of franchising, licensing and distribution issues. He is well known for his ability to counsel and lead clients through the diverse, complex and always-changing specialized area of franchise & distribution law. Piper also advises clients in a broad range of other business transactions and commercial issues, including advertising compliance; contests, sweepstakes and loyalty programs; outsourcing arrangements; mergers and acquisitions; and start-up needs. He is active in the International Franchise Association and ABA Forum on Franchising. Piper earned his bachelor of arts degree at the University of California, Davis, before receiving his law degree from the University of Washington School of Law.
About Tristan Swanson
Swanson’s practice focuses on construction, real estate and insurance coverage disputes. He represents contractors, subcontractors, owners, landlords and developers and has achieved successful outcomes for clients in state and federal courts, and in alternative dispute proceedings. Swanson is also well versed in dispute resolution services, frequently conducting prelitigation negotiations or providing counsel related to the risks and rewards of moving forward with formal claims or lawsuits. He regularly advises on construction contracts, notice procedures, lien claims, demand letters, insurance tenders and purchase and sale agreements. Swanson earned his bachelor of arts degree at Evergreen State College before receiving his law degree from the University of Washington School of Law.
