Miller Nash LLP attorney Jodi Green has been elected to serve as a Vice Chair on the Executive Board of the Los Angeles County Bar Association Cannabis Section. The Cannabis Section was developed in 2020 to “raise the bar higher” in addressing a myriad of complex legal issues impacting the cannabis industry, including: state and local regulatory compliance, corporate and tax structuring, banking, real estate, labor and employment, intellectual property, insurance, litigation, distribution, marketing, and ethics. The Cannabis Section serves as a resource for other attorneys, government bodies, and the news media on issues regarding cannabis laws, regulations and developments, and serves as a forum for the consideration of public policies dealing with or regarding cannabis generally. Additionally, as a member of the Section’s Policy Subcommittee, Jodi evaluates and advises on regulatory and policy issues impacting the industry, including amendments to State and local cannabis laws, rules, and regulations.

As a result of her expertise, Jodi was invited to join the Risk Management & Insurance Committee of the National Cannabis Industry Association; testified before the Cannabis Working Group of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners; and is a sought-after author, commentator and public speaker on cannabis and insurance issues for numerous organizations. Jodi received her bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University before earning her law degree at the DePaul University College of Law.
