Byun, et al. v. Winco Foods, Inc. The trial judge dismissed all claims on our motion for directed verdict at the conclusion of plaintiffs’ case. The action was brought by five Korean grocers alleging violation of public accommodation statutes based on ethnic origin.
Advised multiple commercial fishing businesses with respect to acquisitions, sales, chartering, fishing rights transactions, and employment issues.
Represented owner of shopping center in dispute with tenant over unpaid common area maintenance charges (CAMs). Negotiated resolution wherein tenant would pay all back CAMs for prior 6 years and structured new CAM reconciliation process to avoid issue in the future.
Assists with COBRA issues and preparing and reviewing required COBRA notices, including issues related to qualifying events, duration of COBRA coverage, and correction of COBRA failures.
Assisted client in acquiring existing energy distribution operations from multiple sellers. This work included negotiating asset purchase agreements, leases, and financing documents, reviewing due diligence, and troubleshooting deal-threatening legal issues.
