Counseled the owner of a growing services business through the restructuring of his various legal entities and operations to provide for more operational efficiency, a more efficient tax structure, and better platform for future expansion.

Assisted in successful petition to appoint a general receiver over cannabis producer/processor company, including handling of and interface with Washington State regulators regarding issues relating to receiverships of cannabis companies.
Successfully assisted retail chain in responding to and complying with premium deduction rules under the Washington Paid Family and Medical Leave Act.
Successfully defended a national bank against lawsuit alleging that bank aided and abetted controlling owner of corporation in perpetuating a Ponzi scheme. Prevailed on the dual grounds that plaintiff failed to show actual knowledge and that the suit was barred due to the owner’s illegal acts by the doctrine of in pari delicto.
In re Badger Mountain Irrigation District Bondholder Litigation. This case began when a bankrupt irrigation district brought a claim against the underwriting firm that handled its municipal bond offering. We succeeded in dismissing all claims brought by the district against the underwriter in state court, and then we defended against the bondholders’ claims in a federal court class action, which was resolved in a settlement.
Represented private employer through Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) complaint asserting claims of disability-related discrimination and retaliation under Oregon law and the ADA, including favorably resolving complaint through BOLI’s conciliation process.
