Represented creditor of producer-processor cannabis business. Obtained temporary restraining order prohibiting Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board from seizing and destroying producer-processor’s assets (including cannabis products). Case resolved with agreement with agency that permitted licensee’s assets to be sold and creditors paid with proceeds through state sanctioned receivership action, thereby preserving creditor recovery of defunct licensee’s debts.
Simon’s Way Development Inc. v. Clark County. Prevailed in challenging Clark County’s impermissible attempt to regulate a Class III forest road approved by the Department of Natural Resources at the Washington Court of Appeals, Division II.
Assisted private universities in developing COVID-19 response plans, handling staff and student complaints, and implementing successful return to campus strategies.
Represented regional bank in defending against various claims by borrowers.
Favorably resolved age discrimination claim brought by former dean against a community college.
