OLCC Enforcement Response. Appeal alleged violations of Oregon Liquor Control Commission rules and, when appropriate, obtain dismissal of alleged violations, including allegations of permitting unlawful activity.
Jury verdict in favor of employer school district in lawsuit asserting disability discrimination, workers’ compensation discrimination, and violation of whistleblower statute.
Represented publicly traded French company in defending against patent and trade secret claims arising out of its development of novel ultrasound technology. Case settled on a confidential basis near the close of discovery.
Represented Transgender Law Center and other nonprofit organizations in connection with filing amicus brief with Oregon Court of Appeals in support of appeal defending the rights of nonbinary Oregonians.
Assisted the supervising attorney in representing a hotel in a Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceeding. Drafted first day motions and assisted the client in completing the initial debtor interview and monthly operating reports.
Actively participates in the discovery process and handles a myriad of discovery-related disputes, including substantive discussions with opposing counsel as well as appearances before the Court and/or Discovery Commissioner.
OLCC Licensing. Obtained liquor license for retail establishments in sensitive locations and appeal proposed restrictions on liquor licenses.
