Setty v. Shrinivas Sugandhalaya, LLP, Supreme Court Case No. 19-623; Ninth Circuit Case No. 18-35573. Represent appellants and petitioners in pursuing appeal involving issues arising under the Lanham Act and the New York Convention. After the Ninth Circuit affirmed a trial court decision finding our client had no rights to compel arbitration because it was a non-signatory to the underlying arbitration agreement, successfully petitioned the United States Supreme Court to grant our client’s petition for a writ of certiorari; Supreme Court vacated decision and remanded to Ninth Circuit, where it is currently pending.
Represented privately held Widmer Brothers Brewing Company in a merger with Redhook Ale Brewery, Incorporated, in which Widmer shareholders received SEC-registered stock valued at $50 million.
Assisted clients in determining whether a security incident is a reportable data breach and, if so, provided required notification to regulatory agencies and affected consumers.
Represented tenant in breach of lease action seeking early termination of lease.
Represented publicly traded mutual fund company in SEC investigation involving allegedly false and misleading marketing materials.
Office Leasing. Developed form lease and assisted in negotiating leases with tenants on behalf of downtown Seattle building owner.
Assist client with all aspects of an opportunity zone redevelopment biomedical project, including raising equity, structuring or restructuring security debt, leasing, and all aspects of construction and development.
