Represented Chinese company in defending against breach of contract, fraud and related claims arising out of log export business. After a week-long evidentiary hearing in Astoria, Oregon, court largely sided with our client and case settled shortly thereafter.
Prevailed on motion for summary judgment filed before discovery was commenced on contract and tort claims brought by a former graduate student against a private university.
Represented cannabis industry licensor and supplier in claims for breach of contract and breach of option to purchase licensed cannabis business assets in state court and arbitration proceedings.

Represented creditor of producer-processor cannabis business. Obtained temporary restraining order prohibiting Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board from seizing and destroying producer-processor’s assets (including cannabis products). Case resolved with agreement with agency that permitted licensee’s assets to be sold and creditors paid with proceeds through state sanctioned receivership action, thereby preserving creditor recovery of defunct licensee’s debts.
Simon’s Way Development Inc. v. Clark County. Prevailed in challenging Clark County’s impermissible attempt to regulate a Class III forest road approved by the Department of Natural Resources at the Washington Court of Appeals, Division II.
