About Jackson
Jackson Tann’s practice is tailored towards environmental and natural resource law as well as complex commercial litigation. Jackson actively represents global corporations in environmental disputes arising from state and federal law, which often involves defending clients against claims asserted under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) as well as other common law causes of action. Jackson also has experience representing businesses in both several states in a variety of commercial litigation matters, including franchising and distribution matters, contractual disputes, general commercial disputes, strict products liability, personal injury, and disputes arising from the use of intellectual property (including but not limited to the misappropriation of trade secrets and trademark infringement). Jackson has gained exceptional experience litigating cases from their inception to their conclusion.
After transferring from the University of Oregon School of Law to the William S. Boyd School of Law in Las Vegas, Nevada, Jackson prioritized gaining practical experience while he pursued his Juris Doctor degree. Jackson spent one summer working in-house for a publicly traded corporation that designs and manufacturers essential medical imaging and screening equipment used around the globe, and thereafter, clerked for two separate law firms during his law school tenure. In addition, Jackson served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Jerome T. Tao at the Nevada Court of Appeals performing legal research and writing for a variety of appellate matters. Following graduation, Jackson served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable James T. Russell at the First Judicial District Court of Nevada.

Litigates a number of franchisor-franchisee disputes on behalf of a global corporation involving, among other things, franchisees’ breach of operative agreements and failure to pay outstanding balances.

Achieved multiple dismissals on behalf of clients at the early stages of litigation when the business lacked a logical nexus to the facts and circumstances giving rise to the controversy.

Prepares and argues both dispositive and non-dispositive motions and has obtained favorable rulings on behalf of his clients.
