Jackson J. Tann
About Jackson
Jackson Tann’s practice is tailored towards environmental and natural resource law as well as complex, commercial litigation. Jackson actively represents global corporations in environmental disputes arising from state and federal law, which often involves defending clients against claims asserted under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) as well as other common law causes of action. Jackson also has experience representing businesses in both California and Nevada in a variety of litigation matters, including franchisor liability, contractual disputes, strict products liability, personal injury, and disputes arising from the use of intellectual property (including but not limited to the misappropriation of trade secrets and trademark infringement). Jackson’s commitment to serving his clients has inspired him to take on new challenges and expand his areas of practice through proper preparation.
After transferring from the University of Oregon School of Law to the William S. Boyd School of Law in Las Vegas, Nevada, Jackson prioritized gaining practical experience while he pursued his Juris Doctor degree. Jackson spent one summer working in-house for a publicly traded corporation that designs and manufacturers essential medical imaging and screening equipment used around the globe, and thereafter, clerked for two separate law firms during his law school tenure. In addition, Jackson served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Jerome T. Tao at the Nevada Court of Appeals performing legal research and writing for a variety of appellate matters. Following graduation, Jackson served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable James T. Russell at the First Judicial District Court of Nevada.
