Miller Nash LLP attorney, Sophia von Bergen, has been appointed as cochair of the Young Lawyers Section’s (YLS) CLE Committee of the Multnomah Bar Association (MBA).
The YLS is an inclusive section of the bar, comprised of any MBA member in practice less than six years or under the age of 36. The YLS provides leadership, networking, professional development and service opportunities, in addition to a business development network. As cochair of the CLE Committee, Sophie will help organize accredited seminars with content intended specifically for newer attorneys and provide additional professional and career development seminars for the YLS membership.

Sophie is a member of Miller Nash’s litigation practice team and has experience representing clients in all phases of litigation, with a focus on complex litigation matters, business disputes and insurance recovery for policyholders. She represents businesses and individuals in state and federal courts in Oregon. Her experience representing clients as both plaintiffs and defendants allows her to analyze issues from multiple perspectives and appropriately advocate on her clients’ behalf. Sophie received her bachelor’s degree from Occidental College before earning her law degree at Lewis & Clark Law School.
