Miller Nash welcomes Richard Alli, Jr. as partner to the firm’s robust labor and employment team. Ric is sought after nationwide for his specialized counsel in private and public sector collective bargaining and employment law planning and strategy. He represents employers across the country before the National Labor Relations Board and advises on personnel administration and policies, union election campaigns, discrimination issues, strike operations, strategic advice regarding the purchase and/or sale of non-union operations, and navigating unionizing campaigns. Ric also handles the collective bargaining process as the chief spokesperson for clients who need trusted and effective collective bargaining expertise.
About Richard Alli
Before joining Miller Nash, Ric practiced at a Portland-area boutique employment and labor firm for 44 years where he led the labor department for 12 years. He has successfully handled more than 75 labor disputes throughout his career involving picket activity, strikes, lockouts, and corporate campaigns and has handled more than 500 grievance and arbitration cases. Ric also specializes in advice regarding supervisory and upper management training related to union avoidance strategies and development of employee centric company policies. Ric has been recognized by Chambers USA for Labor & Employment since 2004 and has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® in Portland, Oregon for Labor Law—Management and Employment Law—Management since 2010. Ric received his B.S. from the University of Oregon before earning his J.D. at Willamette University College of Law.
