Miller Nash LLP announces relocations of its Portland and Seattle offices, and the opening of a new office in Boise, marking a significant chapter in the firm's expansion.
New Downtown Office in Portland, Oregon
This spring, Miller Nash’s Portland office will move to the West End neighborhood into the new 11W building at SW 11th Avenue and SW Washington Street. The decision for Miller Nash to relocate to 11W is primarily driven by the firm's transition to a hybrid work model, coupled with its goal to create a dynamic, collaborative environment for its people and its clients. The firm will soon take residence on the top floor of the new building's commercial space, featuring versatile amenities such as hoteling offices equipped with operable windows, collaborative spaces, shared parking facilities, and exclusive outdoor areas, including balconies and terraces.
“We celebrated our 150th anniversary in 2023, and we attribute that longstanding success in part to our willingness to adapt to changing times,” said Kieran Curley, managing partner of Miller Nash. “11W is a beautiful, thoughtfully designed building that’s engineered for our new normal—a hybrid work world. With this relocation, we have had the opportunity to redesign our office for the future and incorporate features that allow more flexibility for our workforce, better client service, and more community engagement. We also look forward to continuing to lead the way in the revitalization of the downtown core through partnerships with groups like the Portland Metro Chamber, Greater Portland Inc., and SOLVE.”
Portland’s West End is a vibrant, busy section of downtown approximately bounded on the north and south by West Burnside and Southwest Yamhill Street, with Southwest 10th Avenue and Southwest 14th Avenue as its east and west borders. It is a hub of chic independent boutiques, restaurants, cocktail bars, and galleries.
Enhanced Presence in Seattle, Washington
In advance of the Portland move, Miller Nash relocated its Seattle location in late Fall 2023 to the vibrant Chinatown-International District (CID), finding a new home at 605 Union Station. The firm resides on the top floor of the commercial space, providing versatile amenities such as hotel offices for both its people and its clients, collaborative spaces, and two exclusive outdoor areas offering breathtaking views of Lumen Field and T-Mobile Park.
This move also marked the end of an era on the Seattle waterfront, which had been home to Miller Nash (previously Graham & Dunn/Miller Nash Graham & Dunn) for over 20 years. “Moving away from the iconic Pier 70 was a tough decision for our firm; however, we are thrilled about this new chapter at 605 Union,” said Danielle Hunt, partner-in-charge of the Seattle office. “We’re enjoying learning more about and exploring our new neighborhood and we are enjoying the easy access to public transportation that the CID offers.”
With a short walk to/from both Sound Transit’s Sounder and Link, 605 Union is in the center of the city’s transportation hub. Since the pandemic in 2020, Miller Nash has embraced a hybrid workplace and further commits to this by choosing a location that is convenient and accessible for its employees and clients.
