Miller Nash LLP is pleased to announce the promotion of Portland-based attorney Erica Clausen to partner, effective January 1, 2025. Erica has been an integral part of the firm’s litigation team since joining as a staff member in 2011. She worked at the firm while pursuing her law degree at Lewis & Clark Law School, earning her J.D. in 2017. After graduation, she became an associate at Miller Nash, where she has made significant contributions to some of the firm’s most complex and high-profile cases. Notably, Erica played a key role in the landmark 2021 antitrust case that successfully challenged the National Women’s Soccer League’s minimum age rule in U.S. District Court as an illegal boycott in violation of federal antitrust law on behalf of 15-year-old professional soccer player Olivia Moultrie, enabling her to sign with the Portland Thorns.
“We are thrilled to welcome Erica into the partnership,” says Kieran Curley, the firm’s managing partner. “She exemplifies the values of our firm, providing exceptional service to our clients while making meaningful contributions to our community. Erica is an outstanding colleague and a trusted advocate for our clients.”
