Miller Nash Graham & Dunn LLP attorney Jesús Miguel Palomares was recently elected to serve on the board of directors of the Oregon Hispanic Bar Association (OHBA). OHBA operates in Oregon to encourage Latinos to serve as legal professionals, raise the awareness of Latino legal issues and celebrate the achievements of Latino legal professionals. Palomares joins, among others, Iván Reséndiz Gutiérrez on the OHBA board. Gutiérrez will join Miller Nash Graham & Dunn in September as an associate attorney. Gutiérrez currently is an appellate law clerk to the Honorable Lynn R. Nakamoto in the Oregon Supreme Court.

In 2010, Palmomares split his summer clerking at Miller Nash Graham & Dunn and at Hogan Lovells BSTL, S.C., one of Mexico's leading law firms. Palomares is a native Spanish speaker and is a mock trial coach at Jefferson High School. He earned his bachelor's degree at Western Washington University in international business and finance before receiving his law degree from University of Oregon School of Law.
