Miller Nash welcomes James F. Johnson to the firm’s litigation team. With extensive experience guiding clients through matters in state and federal courts, James has performed wide-ranging legal research, drafted motions and appeals, and deposed numerous expert witnesses. He is skilled at addressing client needs in advance of litigation and counseling clients with strategies to avoid risk. James has a proven track record of obtaining favorable outcomes through settlement, arbitration, trial, and appeal.
About James F. Johnson
Prior to joining private practice, James served as Deputy Prosecuting Attorney at the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. In this role, he conducted 30 trials and appeared in court on a weekly basis. Additionally, James worked in the Seattle City Attorney’s Office as a Policy Aide and Municipal Court Extern. He served as the 2020-2021 president of the Loren Miller Bar Association and is a 2021 graduate of the Washington Leadership Institute. James received his bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Washington, before earning his law degree from Seattle University School of Law.
