Miller Nash Graham & Dunn attorney Tyler Bowlin was recently appointed to serve a one-year term as programs vice chair for the Environmental Litigation and Toxic Torts Committee of the American Bar Association (ABA). The committee covers the rapidly changing field of environmental litigation with a focus on tort actions involving potential toxic substance exposure. As programs vice chair, Bowlin will help develop virtual educational programs for members of the Environment, Energy, and Resources section and offer guidance on potential session topics for the ABA Fall and Spring Conferences. Bowlin has been a member of the ABA Environmental Litigation and Toxic Torts Committee since 2015.

About Tyler Bowlin
Bowlin is a skilled legal adviser and problem-solver, supporting clients that operate in highly regulated sectors covering environmental law, petroleum, cannabis, hemp, and alcoholic beverages. His broad environmental practice includes advice on issues related to contaminated sites, water, air, waste, and environmental impact/land use. Bowlin regularly represents clients before state and federal agencies as well as specialized regulatory bodies, including California’s Department of Toxic Substances Control; Division of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources; various Regional Water Quality Control Boards; regional air quality management districts; and others. He has litigated complex disputes for global companies, including both national and regional businesses, from the beginning through to the end of the litigation cycle, as well as mitigating risks and liabilities. Bowlin earned his bachelor’s degree in environmental studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz before receiving his law degree from the University of Oregon School of Law.
