Paid Leave Oregon (PLO) continues to shape the landscape of Oregon employment benefits since going into effect on September 3, 2023, and employers have faced ongoing challenges in navigating its complexities. In addition, the Oregon Family Leave Act (OFLA) was recently streamlined to (mostly) avoid duplication and overlap with PLO. With these new changes going into effect on July 1, 2024, employers must act now to remain in compliance.
Our complimentary webinar will provide an overview of the latest changes to OFLA and PLO, and work through sample scenarios to illustrate a number of common leave questions and topics, including:
- How and when PLO intersects with other leave laws and employer-provided leave benefits including sick leave and PTO
- Intermittent and/or part-time leave calculations and tracking
- What kind of notice, information, and communication may an employer require the employee to provide and when
- Additional issues related to the hybrid or fully remote workplace
By navigating these scenarios, attendees will gain practical insights for managing complex leave situations effectively while maintaining legal compliance.
Following the presentation, the speakers will remain available to address general questions.
