Represented gasoline supplier in defense of claims brought by dealer in federal court for discrimination in violation of Washington Franchise Investment Protection Act, Washington Gasoline Dealer Bill of Rights Act, and breach of contract. Prevailed on summary judgment with dismissal of all claims.
Represented gasoline supplier in defense of claims brought by dealer in federal court alleging fraud in sale of gasoline station. Obtained summary judgment dismissal of claims, affirmed on appeal by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Represented gasoline supplier on breach of contract claim against distributor over gasoline supply contract.
Successfully negotiated tribal-state gaming compacts and amendments thereto, including negotiation of an amendment to Washington State’s Appendix X2.
Co-authored Washington State House Bill 2638 (2019-2020) to legalize sports wagering in tribal casinos.
Regularly advises on gaming compact compliance and represents clients in consultations with the Washington State Gambling Commission.
